I keep skipping over your request for info on TGF, is that correct?
If so, I ran across a super publication on this in one of the last few issues
of American Journal of Pathology, but did not jot down volume, page, etc.
And it was on murine tissue, maybe I missed the boat totally!

Hope this is correct, and helped you out.  You may have to go into Medline for 
more specifics, sorry I was remiss on finer details.
