melanocytes -Reply
From: | Tony Henwood <AnthonyH@chw.edu.au> |
Andrea,
Try a histochemical stain to demonstrate the melanin (a microwave
methenamine silver, Luna's Melanin stain - more sensitive, or a Schmorl's
stain).
Or use immunohistochemistry, HMB-45 marks many melanocytes, though
I've found S100 to be more sensitive.

Dear Histonet,
Can anyone suggest a good antibody and/or method for the staining of
melanocytes?
Thank you in advance.
Andrea
