I find the discussion very interesting myself.  I  have always liked Shandon products and have always received good service from their reps and service engineers.  Certainly,  Mr. Lewis apologised about the "blunt" statement he made.  I think we should as professionals realize that he made a mistake but that he was also doing us all a favor in making us aware of copyright laws, especially when presented over the Internet. Somehow, I feel that in a previous time ( before HistNet), Shandon may have worked individually with a customer or potential customer and provided a better service in regards to the manual, at least I hope so.
