	Dear Lester,

	I had similar problems until I worked out that my xylene substitute was
not compatable with my xylene based coverslipping medium.  This seems to be
a problem with some substitutes but not others.

	There are 3 solutions; 1/Dry your slides before you coverslip. They come
out just beautifully.  2/ buy a compatable coverslipping medium.  3/ Use a
different xylene substitute.
