Dear Histonet:

I just wanted to follow up on the message from Dr. Heike Grabsch, Dept
of Pathology, University of Duesseldorf, Germany. The NBA(tm) kit that
Dr. Grabsh referred to is from Zymed Laboratories (Zytomed is our German
subsidiary). It does not use avidin or streptavidin and thus completely
avoids the endogeneous biotin problem. Its sensitivity is comparable to
LAB-SA. For information about recovery of biotin activity after epitope
retrieval I suggest Rodriquez-Soto et al; AIH, 5(1):59-62 (1997).

Sincerely,

John Bliss
Zymed Laboratories
