on Process Improvement projects (which you have to do first before you can even
consider proposing an increase in staff and/or hours). When you do a PI
there is a LOT of timing of each step, take into consideration the service and
quality the pathologists expect and arrive at goals for times and
quantities. It's actually worked pretty well over the past 1 1/2 years
since we did our PI. </SPAN></FONT></DIV>

increase, or your staffing mix changes, you do have to have a way to figure out
how to meet the increased demands and still meet the goals.
