There have been several questions recently about the demonstration of
cytokines in cells and/or tissue using IHC.  Although I am not an expert, I
have been impressed with literature from R&D Systems, Inc. (Minneapolis,
MN; E-mail: info@rndsystems.com).  In fact, they have a booklet titled,
"Cytokine Detection by IHC", which contains protocols for cytokine
detection in tissue and in cells smeared on slides using IHC.  In addition,
protocols for these techniques as well as immunofluorescence staining of
cytokine producing cells in suspension, are also available on the internet
