Dear Histonetters:

We are having trouble with getting cytomegalovirus in-situ hybridization up
and running in our lab and are looking for some tips from anyone who has
been successful with this procedure. We are trying to use the Novacastro
probe (biotin -labeled against CMV early transcript RNA) and their kit
with their recommended procedure. We have contacted them and tried all
their suggestions to no avail. We have good positive control tissue and
have no problem with the multiple other viral in-situ we do in our lab. Any
suggestions, including any commercially available probes that work well for
you would be welcome.
Thanks,
