Linda:  This spam item evidently slipped by your usually
 superb vigilance. It will have dumped many kilobytes of
 expensive junk on each who pays to get internet services
 by modem. I thought I should report it, even though there's 
 probably nothing more you can do to prevent occasional
 misuse of the HistoNet listserver.
 
 Would it be possible for HistoNet to filter out and discard
 every message that has an attached file?  Just a suggestion;
 I've no idea how such things are done. Keep up the great
 work!
