Responding to processor alarms.

In our company in England if we are called out at night to a machine
alarming we are paid a standard call-out payment of about 25, and then we
charge by the hour for the length of time we need to spend rectifying the
problem. We don't have the problem of transporting tissues to other premises
but if we need to go anywhere on company business we are obliged, for
insurance purposes, to use a company car. We have a pool of 5 cars and these
are booked as required. Routine insurance cover doesn't cover you to drive
on company business.
