For all of you who are using CureMount as a mounting medium, I would like to
suggest that you avoid heating the slide to rid it of xylene. It was
suggested as a way to go, but it might dry out the tissue section which is
not desirable,
Just drain the slide well and wipe the excess xylene away. If too much
xylene is left on the slide it can dilute the CureMount you dispense and
might change the refractive index. We want the refractive index to be 1.55
which matches the dehydrated tissue!
