Gary,
I believe that I missed your original posting mentioning molecular
sieve for "recycling" xylene. I am willing to admit my ignorance and would
like to hear more about this process. We have been using a spinning band
still to recycle xylene and alcohol for the past 10 years. At the moment we
are considering up grading our aging still. We would consider alternative
technology--keeping in mind the usual things laboratories consider: quality
results, safety, environmental/disposal issues, use of tech time,
initial/capital and consumable supply expenses. Your posting is the first
time I have heard of this technique. Please tell all of us more!
