Hi Harry,
Your guess is correct. The mixture is of m.o.p.(meta, ortho, and para
forms)[I chose the order in honor of an old bee-bop song.]. Three part
chemical harmony is usually less expensive, however. 0-xylene, ACS, can
cost over $100.00 while the mixed "Histological" xylenes are around $60.00
[Fisher Catalog].
