We also went with the Leica XL-autostainer after demo-ing several
others...there was an initial "getting to know you" period and we had to
adjust some of our staining protocols, but all has run smoothly since then
- that was almost 3 years ago.  Prior to that, all of our staining was done
manually so we really took an immersing  leap into modern technology!  Good
luck with your selection...demo all you can to see what works well for YOUR
