Hi Bev,
We don't do any morphometric analysis, but we do use smooth
muscle actin Clone 1A4. We use it on routine, buffered formalin fixed,
paraffin processed tissues, without any problems. Our protocol is
essentially -
Antigen retrieval in a microwaveable pressure cooker for 5 mins /
Primary antibody dilution 1:100 for 2 hours / Vector Elite Kit for the
biotin and avidin 30 mins each / DAB detection 5 mins.
If you have any specific questions please feel free to contact
me.
		Hope this helps,

Looking for experts on the use of smooth muscle actin antibody, in
particular clone 1A4, on small vessels in lung tissue, especially those
who have done morphometric analysis of smooth muscle cells. Help with
protocols, fixation issues, epitope retrieval, etc.

Thanks
