Can anyone give me an idea on a vital stain to differentiate necrotic 
areas from healthy tissue?  Basically, we're looking for a monochromatic 
stain, easier than an H+E, that we can use for image analysis percentage 
of necrosis.   I thought about toluidine blue, but I'm not sure if it 
stains dead stuff.
