Hello Diane,

I've not used the graphic utility program in quite some time since I now 
use Adobe and ACDSee (among other commercial-ware) but I would highly 
recommend a product called IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com).  It is 
quite versatile and free - except for commercial use.  It's current 
version will perform the tasks you requested.
