Leica can also be used w/ xylene substitutes. We in Histo use xylene. Our
Cytology department uses Hemo-De (yuck). We cover a rack of our slides, they
cover a rack of theirs. No need for them to introduce their slides to xylene

Just wanted you all to know that the tissue tek also can be used with xylene
substitutes.  We use Citra solv and our last stations are 2 citra solv and
the last two are xylene, because the coverslipper uses xylene to adhere the
tape.  We have no problems and it zips through like no tomorrow.
