I have some formalin fixed, formic acid decalcified tissues embedded in wax that I would like to section and stain for mitochondria. Does anyone know of any quick (non-immuno) staining methods that I could use. I have read that it is possible to detect them using an aniline acid-fuchsin technique, but I cannot find a supplier of this dye. Advice would be appreciated. Darren.
