It is my experience that most institutions treat these injuries in a "blanket" fashion along with needle sticks, etc. This may or may not be overkill, but it seems that too much caution is not necessarily a bad thing. By the way, where I am currently contracted, any OTJ injury also requires that the employee undergo drug testing. (Their trust in us is WONDERFUL..) Dave Reynolds, HT(ASCP)
