Clinical Histotechnologist
Position Summary

Under general direction, independently perform advanced histopathologic and
molecular procedures.  Perform experiments and tests, including routine and
complex non-standardized tests, employing advanced protocol guidelines.
Assist in the development of procedures and instructions for introducing new
tests.  May assist in the preparation and review of documents, protocols and
IRB submissions as they relate to individual studies.  Coordinate the
collection and management of existing and future tissue, serum and cell
lines.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Ascertain that all necessary materials and supplies are available for project
completion and order supplies as necessary.
Maintain equipment and provide necessary monitoring and quality
control/quality assurance maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Complete all necessary paperwork in conjunction with the operation of the
laboratory including regulatory requirements.
Applicant must be proficient in advanced histopathologic techniques,
including but not limited to, immunohistochemistry, both manual and
automated; in situ hybridization; PCR and gene sequencing.
Applicant will be required to interface directly with Clients and with all of
Clinomics partner institutions.  Thus, the ability to communicate and develop
positive relationships with ease is essential.
The applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or a
related science; however, a Master's degree is preferred.  Supervisory
experience is preferred.
