Vector has a new red chromogen for peroxidase staining, called NovaRed and
would be a nice substitute for DAB, permanent, but red and with 5 times
the sensitivity of AEC, which you could lose if you switch to AEC, recalibrate
you staining????? Vector is 800 227-6666 or email craig@vectorlabs.com, their
tech service gentleman, he can talk to you about this product. Not terribly
expensive, easy to use.
It certainly is worth a try to have a "RED" equivalent to DAB, we are trying
it out, since we prefer the contrast of red chromogen to hematoxylin.
