Hello everyone:

Washington Adventist Hospital has 2 new full time Histotech positions.  We are a 300 bed hospital 1 mile outside of D.C. in Takoma Park Maryland.  We also do the Histology for Shady Grove Adventist Hospital as well as a number of outreach specimens.

One opening is for a solid cutter at about 5am.  This person will have the opportunity to learn/do special stains and immunos.

I am hoping to fill the 2nd position with someone with Immuno experience.  The schedule is negotiable for this position.

We have a good, fun, sometimes crazy, very hard-working crew.  We have an excellent high quality immuno program.  We do about 80 antibodies and have a average load of about 80-120 slides a day. 

An applicant should be self motivated and able to work well with others.  We require a High School diploma, HT(ASCP), and at least a year of experience.   Although for the 5 am position, I'll consider anyone who can prove they can cut quality slides fast and wants to learn the rest.
