Where are you?  Check the local high schools.  Mercer Island High 
School (WA state) has a fantastic histology program for the AP 
science students.  Also check with the manufacturer and the repair 
people.  They often know of people/places that would be able to put 
the equipment to good use.  Old microtomes also make great boat 
anchors!
