Elmer's Glue Coated Slides!

        Histonetters,

I have a quick question concerning slides coated with Elmer's Glue. I have never used this technique before so I searched the Histonet Archives and found reference for preparing the slides. My question is: will the Glue interfer with H&E and T-Blue staining? I know that it wasn't recommended for IHC. I am currently working on a project with rat ankle joints in which the area of interest includes 3 different tissue types. One small piece of cartilage does not stick well to the slide (positively charged) after drying and subsequently pops off/folds over during staining. It was suggested that I try drying the slides laying flat on a hotplate overnight and also that I use Elmer's Glue coated slides. Does anyone else have any further suggestions. Thank you very much for your insight!

Jennifer Hoover
Eli Lilly and Company
