Re-removal of dab from tissue sections

From:Clarke Ian <clarke.ian@virgin.net>

Hi All,
I have been asked by another member of staff if anyone knows of a method to
remove DAB from tissue so that it can be returned to the original state
before Immuno. We had thought about using other chromogens that were alcohol
soluble ,unfortunately she will be counterstaining with Papanicolou and the
cytoplasmic stains are made up in 95% alc.I had read somewhere that
bleaching using Permanganate/oxalic acid would work? We were wandering if
Liquid Fast Red or New Fuchsin would do the job.

Thanks in advance
