Citrate buffer for antigen retrieval:

Citric acid 21g
distilled water 10 litres

To this add 2N sodium hydroxide solution (12g in 150 ml of distilled water) until pH 6.8
most of the 150ml will be used.

This solution keeps for weeks.

We use it for both microwave and pressure cooking.  Make sure the pressure cooker is not aluminum!
