Joyce,  I have been monitoring the OSHA ergo proposal and must say that I did 
not see that statement.  Matter of fact, the proposal is very non-specific 
when it comes to instrumentation.  Histology labs are not even mentioned.  
But electronic microtomes do help avoid repetitive motion disorders and they 
do help the histotechs that have developed those problems. And of course, 
proper ergo technic and posture go hand in hand to prevent RMD.   You can go 
into the OSHA site on the internet and pull up the ergo proposal.
