Fixatives for crow and Avian Tissue

We are just doing light microscopy. It is not the ultrastructure that is the
trouble ( my mistake). The formalin fixation
does not have the crips detail that is desired. We are working on a study of
35 week old leghorns ( male obviously).
The calcium deposit very in size and the tissue is sectioned undecalcified.
