1. Click on Board of Registry under the ASCP logo
2. Click on Certification
3. Click on Technologist/Histotechnologist
In a nutshell:
Route 1: BS from a regionally accredited college or university
with 30 credit hours (45 semester hours) of biology and/or
chemistry plus 1 year full time experience in the last 10
years under a ASCP certified (or eligible) pathologist or
appropriately certified medical scientist.
Route 2: BS from a regionally accredited college or
university plus successful completion of a NAACLS accredited
histotechnology program.
There is no backdoor/grandfather route.
