Help! I have a consult case (open lung biopsy) fixed in Hollande's fixative that was sent to me for immunoperoxidase staining. I understand that Hollande's is a modification of Bouin's fixative. Can you digest and heat-treat tissues that have been fixed in this fixative or is pretreatment not necessary? Thanks! R. Cartun
