RE: broken slides
Andrea,
Back "in the Old Days" I worked for a pathologist who received many broken
consult slides and depending upon how broken they were I 1) soaked off the
coverslip and reapplied a long new coverslip. Sometimes a clean break through
the slide could be held together with just the coverslip or 2) soaked the slide
until everything separated then remounted the pieces on a new slide, with a new
long coverslip. My Path was able to use them although the extra thickness from
2 slides wasn't ideal, and I became quite proficient at jig saw puzzles!

What is the best way out there to fix broken slides? Please email me
directly with your hints and experience.
Thank you in advance!
