Russia is not so exotic place for histological research as
it could seem to some people. I could recall the prominent
names which was written by golden letters in history of
histology.  Gigant Betz cells of the cerebral cortex,
Doinikov and Dogel bodies. Soviet neurohistology school
which was founded by Lavrentiev. Basic studies of the
lymphatic system morphology that was lead by Kuprianov and
Zhdanov. If it is political correct to remember scientifical
success in terms of national glory in this site? If yes,
please recal works in histology performed in other
countries.
