Nova Red/ Vip Kit

For the past 7 years I have been staining chromosomes in paraffin sections
(In Situ method ) and used, instead of DAB which can give background,
Vector's Vip kit.  It is a red chromogen and can be cover with permount.  I
read some of the remarks on nova red and wonder how this differs from the
Vip kit,.
