Does anyone know if there is any policy regarding what type of personal protective equipment a histotech must wear while helping a pathologist during grossing of surgical specimens? I am more specifically wondering about a face shield. We have always left that decision to wear a face sheild upon the histotech. But, if there is some type of CAP or OSHA guideline, I would love to know about it, or know how to find out for sure. Thanks!
