For those doing or needing infectious organism immunostaining, I highly
recommend a publication by a subscriber to Histonet, Richard Cartun. Title
is Immunohistochemistry of infectious diseases, Journal of Histotechnology,
18(3):195-202, 1995. He listed sources of antibodies, available antibodies
(the list has probably grown since publication) and technic. Another
source for some infectious organism antibodies is Biodesign, in Maine, a
new company in the past few years.

This article proved invaluable when we set up staining for Salmonella sp.
and if anything, is highly informative on IHC for infectious disease, a
must read!
