In the hospitals I have worked in, they disposed of tissue blocks into boxes lined with double red bags, or just double red bags. Either way it was considered best to have the blocks incinerated with the red bag trash. Renee-RoseMed-Denver

We are about to dispose of blocks for the first time. The only identifying
marks are the numbers/year. What is the procedure for disposing of blocks.
are they considered biohazard? We need to know if there is a correct way of
disposing of years worth of blocks.
Thank you,
Marilyn
