RE: clot preparations of peripheral blood

One method:

Place drop of blood (no anti-coagulanr added-1cm in diam) onto slide, allow to clot (5min, place in 10% formalin to fix, scrape off with a blade onto processing paper, place in cassette and process as usual.

Or:
Centrifuge blood, remove supernatant, add 2-3 drops of thromboplastin (from haematology), 2-3 drops plasma, 2-3 drops 1% calcium chloride, mix and let stand for 5 min to let clot form. Add formalin and process as usual.

does anybody know a protocoll for preparation of blood clot sections.
I`ve read several times about formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded blood clots
without any description of the protocol.
can somebody please help?!
