Hello,

The lab I work for has been asked to perform a stain on the aorta and heart tissue (animal tissue) looking for plauques. My suppervisor believed she had done this in the past on non embeded tissues. I searched through the histonet archives, however I was unable to open the "hits" to obtain more information. I believe this may either be en face staining or ORO staning. If anyone knows of protocols for the processing and staining of these tissues we would greatly appreciate your help. Also, if there are issues with opening results from histonet archives?

Thank you,
Loriann

Loriann,
We use paraffin embedded tissue (mouse heart and aorta)  cut in 10um sections and stained with Movat’s pentachrome stain.  We get beautiful results.
