Dear Wendy,
Our lab has had good luck with the Histobath. It is
easy to maintain and produces better specimens than
when snap freezing in liquid nitrogen. The only
drawback I have noticed is the cost of using
isopentane, as it needs to be changed frequently or it
will pick up water over time and not cool to the
desired temperature as quickly.
