ASCP examination

From:"Hoye, Glenda F. (Fka Hood)" <ghoye@iupui.edu>

Hello all,

As the current chair of the ASCP BOR's Histotechnology Examination
Committee, I can reassure you that the math questions are still included on
the examinations. I'm not sure where the confusion arose, as I might have
missed the original posting to Histonet. But, the math IS still there.

Sometimes, examinees may not see any math questions, but often times there
are up to 6 (or so) questions about math-related topics. Each examinee sees
a different set of questions, based on his/her abilities. The math areas
that examinees need to be prepared for are the ones Peggy Wenk refers to on
the HT Content Outline:
 - metric
- percent solutions
- dilutions
- normal
- molar

I hope this helps alleviate the current thread of confusion about the test.
If you have questions, please contact me, refer to the ASCP's content
outline, or contact the ASCP BOR offices at (312)738-1336.
