Hi Sarah,
We have been using the same Nexis instrument for almost 6 years.  The
stainer was a demo when we bought it.  We put it through the paces.  The
only issue has been some inconsistency with silvers but that was finally
resolved to our satisfaction.  I also would like to see a gram stain on
the platform.
It is a very user friendly instrument . I hope to see hydrating and
dehydrating on the next generation.
Other than that is it completely "walk away".
