I purchased much of my equipment from Ford Royer at Analytical Instrument
Brokers such as my VIP, fume hood and countless smaller items.  They also
carry microtomes and such but my automated microtomes I bought from Leica
which were demo units.

You can do a search on the web for refurbished equipment and ADVANCE
magagzine has had several articles which also listed many of the companies.
  There are several companies that sell refurbished equipment.  My best
experience has been with AIB.
