In regards to your request for a new Gram stain off the Histonet.  In 1986 I published a paper on the Gram stain, which you should find very interesting, and covers just about everthing you would ever want to know about the technique.  It also contains a new Gram stain which has become widely used through out Canada.  The paper was titled,
