Just a suggestion; I deal with GI tissues at 0.1 X 0.1
X 0.1 cm. Since they are so small we use a colored
(green) histoscreen cassette, (not bags because they
can distort the structure of the tissue), and we put
15 ml of our working Eosin Phloxine B into the last
alcohol of the processor, (this gives a great color
disctinction to be able to see the tissue(s) very
easily). And don't worry, the Eosin in the tissue
will not affect the H&E and/or special stains.
