Dear histonetters,
Thanks to all who responded to my query about information systems
for Anatomic Pathology. This is a brief synopsis of reponses and
contacts:
CoPath:
Variable levels of satisfaction-- Long installation due to
Sunquest not meeting deadlines. "Don't believe them when they say
'sure it will do that'". "Very flexible and moldable." "Able to
iron out most difficulties."
If you are a Sunquest user, other vendors may not bid a CoPath
system. Dynamic sells CoPath. Their address and phone are:

Cerner:
They have a Washington D.C. office listed on the internet-
www.cerner.com. The phone is always busy. Makes me wonder about
customer service.
Tamtron:
Favorable comments. Nice people on the phone.

Cortex:
Impressive conversation with the Eastern rep. "Very good support
and great user group that meets several times a year." "Not
perfect but none of them are".

StarPath
"Great deal of problems". No phone or address available.
Apoloco Systems
"Very happy". When I called them, their focus is not hospitals.

Hope this research can help someone out there. If others would
like to add comments/experiences I would still be interested.
