You are right, it should be a 1mM solution of EDTA Ph 8.0 for HIER.  I
was confusing my digestion with EDTA procedure for the HIER procedure.
I use the EDTA for HIER in a pressure cooker in a 750 watt microwave on
high for 15 min.  We are starting to switch a lot of our protocols which
used citrate buffer Ph 6.0 to the EDTA retreival solution.
