The Indiana Society for Histotechnology is holding its annual meeting at the
Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Indianapolis on September 9-11. Thursday
evening's activities include refreshments and a welcome address, as well as
a guest lecture. On Friday and Saturday, participants choose from lectures
or workshops.

The educational offerings include technical histotechnology-related topics
as well as some personal development and supervisory issues. Pathologists,
histotechs, and industry technical professionals bring their expertise to
share with all attendees.

Exhibits of the latest equipment and products will be open for viewing on
Friday and Saturday, so that everyone can visit with the vendors. The
exhibit area is a great place for learning about new technology available to
the laboratorian.

The Embassy Suites hotel is located in downtown Indianapolis, which is a
safe, bustling and invigorated area. Shopping, dining, cultural activities,
and sports venues are within easy walking distance of the hotel. All rooms
have both a bedroom and living area, as well as a gallery kitchen; room rate
is $129 for single or double.

Pre-registration deadline is September 3, but walk-ins are welcome. Program
costs ($90 for members/$110 for non-members) are for whole-day attendance,
which includes lunch. A bargain for the educational and social experience!
