We use an automated stainer and purchase our hematoxylin from Anatech and our eosin from Surgipath. We have no problems with fading, but I do remember that the Leica sales rep, who installed the instrument, suggested that we rotate our last 100% and last xylenes frequently to avoid eosin fading.
We have never had this problem, because we do rotate, but thought this might shed another light for you!
