I agree with just about everything regarding the pros and cons of testing,
certifications etc.  I have always felt for those people that are
superstars but can't seem to pass the written or practical that there
should be testing centers where people could go and actually perform the
histology in front of an expert histology test procter.  A series of
fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy and staining situations that the
person could perform. An oral examination regarding processing, fixation
and all the items given on the written.  Hey BOR read this EMAIL maybe this
is a new way to make money!  Maybe I will give this theory as a lecture at
NSH what do you think?  Better keep this Email in case someone steals my
idea!  I would love to hear feedback on this one.
